In this first episode of a two part series about the Big Steam Music Festival set for Sept. 23-24, we sit down with Bernard Allison, who is the son of the late blues guitarist Luther Allison. Allison will be the headlining act at the Big Steam Music Festival on Sept. 24 in Hill Wheatley Plaza. His latest album, Highs and Lows, was released in February, featuring the title song that he wrote in response to the COVID-19 pandemic.
